This primate sanctuary in central Zambia is a non-profit refuge that cares for a wide variety of sick, wounded or unwanted animals -- but the primary residents are over 100 orphaned chimpanzees.

Founded by renowned primatologist Jane Goodall, the Jane Goodall Institute is a global nonprofit that empowers people to make a difference for all living things.

 Primate Conservation Inc.
Pprovides small grants for the study and conservation of the least known and most endangered primates in their native habitat. For your donation of $50.00 to PCI you can get a copy of the Pictorial Guide to the Living Primates by Noel Rowe with a forward by Jane Goodall. It has 234 primate species in color with information specific to each one.

Mountain Gorilla - African Wildlife Foundation
The primary threat to mountain gorillas comes from forest clearance and degradation, as the region's growing human population struggles to eke out a living. The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), in collaboration with Fauna and Flora International and World Wide Fund for Nature, established the International Gorilla Conservation Program (IGCP) to safeguard the last remaining mountain gorillas.

Located on the campus of Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington (US), The Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute (CHCI) provides sanctuary for four chimpanzees--Washoe, Loulis, Tatu, and Dar. Our primary goal is ensuring the well-being and protection of these chimpanzees by guaranteeing their freedom from invasive or disruptive research, by maintaining a safe, healthy, and interesting environment, and respecting and providing for their individual needs.

 Friends of Washoe
Established in 1981, Friends of Washoe is a non-profit organization (501.c3) dedicated to the welfare of chimpanzees and especially the four chimpanzees at the Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute located on the campus of Central Washington University, in Ellensburg, Washington(US).
